Getting into shape after pregnancy can be a difficult journey and EMS is one of the fastest ways to achieve the results you want in the safest, most effective way. The MY30MINUTES team will guide you through a tailored programm to target those stubborn areas and activate muscles that can be hard to reach with conventional training.
EMS training protects your joints and works out your whole body safely, without the need for heavy weights, which is perfect for women who are getting back into exercise. We also offer nutritional advice to complement your training plan for a more holistic approach.
Pelvic floor strength is a common concern after pregnancy and EMS training is proven to improve control and combat associated problems, such as urinary incontinence. While the results of using EMS as a local therapy to tackle incontinence are mixed, studies carried out at Bayreuth University showed that full-body EMS achieved excellent effects in in over 75% of the participants.
The main benefit appeared to be an indirect strengthening of the pelvic floor muscles through the stimulation of the adductors, as well as the nerves that supply the pelvic floor muscles, which run past the areas with the electrodes for the abdomen and buttocks. Over 90% of the group who trained intensively showed significant improvements in their symptoms.
Statistics for reducing symptoms of urinary incontinence in 49 participants, over six weeks (two sessions per week):
- 75.8 % SUI reduction
- 33.3 % completely UI-free
- 50 % reported significant
